February 2005               Monthly Homeowners Meetings

The MCCIA board meeting was held on Thursday, February 10, 2005 following the 2004 Annual Homeowners meeting.  Board members Linda Benge, Jill Chumley, Ken Schiller, David Kopinitz and Mikel Fontana were present and Leigh Pollard was present to represent Sterling Association Service.   One Memorial Chase CIA homeowners attended.  The board reviewed and approved with corrections the minutes from the January 2005, and reviewed and approved the monthly management and collection reports for the period ending 01/31/2005. The board requested that past due assessment accounts with balances for 2004 and 2005 to be turned over to the association attorney for collection.   The board reviewed one ACC form and rejected the request as the improvement was shown to be in the utility easement.   Sterling ASI will contact the resident to advise of the rejection and what action needs to take place for the ACC form to be approved. Deed restriction violations were reviewed and Sterling Association Services was requested to forward letters on all violations approved. Residents are requested to contact the Sterling ASI at 281-447-3388 if they have questions or updates on deed restrictions.  Mikel reported that he is working with Aber Fence Company to correct the issues with the pool fence gate.  The board approved the annual contact for Pest Control spray of the neighborhood and the purchase of a trashcan older fore the playground area.   The trashcan holder will be ordered from Outdoor Equipment Company.   The board is working will local residents and scout troops to rotate the empting of the trashcan each week.  The board elected the 2005 Officers - President – Mikel Fontana, Vice President – Ken Schiller, Secretary – Linda Benge, Treasurer – Jill Chumley, Director – David Kopinitz, Director – Walter Belmore and Director – Jennifer Moorhead.  Mikel requested Leigh to check into the status of the repair of the barricade at the dead end of Highworth at Southleigh as it still had not been repaired.  Leigh Pollard is the management contact at Sterling ASI for Memorial Chase CIA.  Contact number for the Management Company is 281-447-3388.  Residents are reminded they may contact the board directly via email at mccia@memorialchasecia.com and find additional information at www.memorialchasecia.com .The next meeting will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2005 – 7:00PM at the Fire Station on Landry.  All residents are invited to attend.  Check out the MCCIA web page -  www.memorialchasecia.com
