February   2006               Monthly Homeowners Meetings

The MCCIA board meeting was held on Thursday, February 09, 2006 – 8:00PM following the completion of the 2006 Annual Homeowners Meeting at Krahn Elementary School.  Board members Linda Benge, Celene Keserich, Ken Schiller, Jill Chumley, David Kopinitz and Mikel Fontana were present. Two homeowner and two representatives of Sterling Association Service (Drew & Leigh) attended the meeting.  

The board held elections for 2006 with the following results: President – Mikel Fontana, Vice President – Ken Schiller, Secretary - Linda Benge, Treasurer - Jill Chumley, Director - David Kopinitz, Director -  Walter Belmore and Director Celene Keserich. 

Minutes from the January 2006 meeting were not available for approval and will be reviewed and approved at the next meeting.  The board reviewed and approved monthly management and collection reports for the period ending January 31, 2006. 

Deed restriction violations were reviewed and Sterling Association Services was requested to forward letters on all violations approved. Residents are requested to contact the Sterling ASI at 281-447-3388 if they have questions or updates on deed restrictions.   Failure to address the issue could lead to attorney fees.  Residents are encouraged to contact the association to discuss any question regarding deed restriction issues. 

The board reviewed the collection report and requested Sterling ASI to provide the board some additional information on several accounts pending.  2006 Assessments are now past due and residents need to forward payment to the association to prevent and additional cost and or fees.  Resident that have questions on past due accounts should contact Sterling ASI to obtain contact information. 

The board reviewed and approved the 2006 contract for Excalibur Pest Control for regular weekly spraying of the neighborhood between 04/01/06 – 11/01/06. 

Mikel reported that the burn ban had expired but wished to remind residents of MCCIA that deed restrictions did not permit burning in MCCIA neighborhood. 

Rickey Benge wished to thank the board for their time and effort given to the neighborhood.  Rickey commented that he was pleased to see additional residents attending the annual meeting. 

Residents are reminded to call 911 for all emergency issue and 713-221-6000 for non-emergency issue.  You can request that our contract Sheriff drop by if you have questions or concerns.   

There were no ACC forms submitted for board approval.   Residents are reminded that ACC forms must be submitted and approved prior to starting any repairs or improvements.   Information and forms are available online at www.memorialchasecia.com
