May 2005               Monthly Homeowners Meetings

The MCCIA board meeting was held on Thursday, May 12, 2005 – 7:00PM at the Fire Station on Landry.  Board members Linda Benge, Jill Chumley, Jennifer Moorhead, Ken Schiller and Mikel Fontana were present. Leigh Pollard was present to represent Sterling Association Service.   One Memorial Chase CIA homeowners attended. 

Minutes from the March 2005 and April 2005 meeting were reviewed and approved with corrections.  The board reviewed and approved the monthly management and collection reports for the period ending 04/30/05. 

Deed restriction violations were reviewed and Sterling Association Services was requested to forward letters on all violations approved. Residents are requested to contact the Sterling ASI at 281-447-3388 if they have questions or updates on deed restrictions.   Failure to address the issue could lead to attorney fees. 

The final plans for the 2005 Annual pool opening party were discussed and approved for Saturday – May 21, 2005.  The board approved with corrections the MCCIA 2005 Pool Season notice that will be provided to all residents when they pick up their pool tags.   Mikel reported that there was a problem with the online request for pool tag, which has now been requested.   Pool tag can be requested online and will be available for pick up at the pool party. 

The board discussed and approved the bid for the resurfacing of the tennis court and basketball courts. The board requested bids for the repair of the covered pool areas.  The board discussed improvements and repairs for the playground area and will request bids for the repairs. 

The board reviewed the collection report and will request Leigh to turn over all the past due accounts after the pool opening party.   The board will review the collection policy and discuss the addition of  a late fee for past due accounts to be applied in 2006.  

Mikel requested that Leigh make an additional request to have the barricade repaired at the end of Highworth at Southleigh.

The next meeting will held on Thursday, June 09, 2005 – 7:00PM at the Fire Station on Landry.  All residents are invited to attend.
